ON/OFF METHOD FOR SUB TITLE AND CLOSED CAPTION

PURPOSE: An on/off method for a sub title and a closed caption is provided to prevent the simultaneous display of sub title and closed caption for improving the convenience of users. CONSTITUTION: An on/off method for a sub title and closed caption includes the steps of transmitting a closed caption off signal with a DVD sub title on signal to a first control part as a sub title on signal is input via a DVD remote controller(200,202). The sub title on signal is processed and transmitted to a TV by a DVD player. If a closed caption on signal is input via a TV remote controller, the closed caption on signal is transmitted to a TV with a DVD sub title off signal(203,204). The TV decodes the closed caption on signal to display(205).
