Polyester-modified polysiloxanes with at least one lateral and/or terminal group containing 2-10 aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and/or aromatic (poly)-ester residues. Polyester-modified polysiloxanes of formula (I): R1 = 1-4C alkyl; R2 = (a) optionally substituted 1-24C alkyl or up to 24C aryl or aralkyl, and/or (b) groups of formula -CnH2n-O-R3-(R4)m; R3 = a 1-20C hydrocarbon residue (linear, branched, cyclic and/or aromatic, optionally with ether bridges), with the proviso that the average molecule contains at least one group of type (b); R4 = aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic and/or aromatic (poly)-ester groups containing on average more than one group of formula -COO- and/or -OCO-; a = 1-1000; b = 0-10; and n, m = 2-10.
