PURPOSE: A process for preparing acyloxysilane is provided, thereby environment intimately and cheaply treating acyl chloride as a by-product and reusing carboxylic acid anhydride produced from the process in production of acyloxysilane. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing acyloxysilane comprises the steps of: (a) reacting alkylchlorosilane with an excess of carboxylic acid anhydride in the presence of an inert solvent to prepare acyloxysilane and acyl chloride; (b) reacting the mixture of acyloxysilane and acyl chloride with an excess of metal carboxylate in situ to convert acyl chloride to carboxylic acid anhydride and metal chloride; (c) filtering the mixture of the solvent, acyloxysilane, carboxylic acid anhydride and metal chloride to isolate metal chloride; (d) distilling the metal chloride free mixture to isolate each component; and (e) reusing the solvent and carboxylic acid anhydride isolated from the step (d) in the step (a), wherein the step (b) is carried out at 0 to 80 deg. C for 0.5 to 6 hours; the inert solvent is selected from toluene, diethylether, benzene, xylene and cyclohexane; the alkylchlorosilane is selected from methyltrichlorosilane, dimethyldichlorosilane, trimethylchlorosilane and diethyldichlorosilane; and the metal carboxylate is alkali metal or alkali earth metal carboxylate.
