PURPOSE: A restoration control device of an EPS(Electronic Power Steering) system is provided to improve the restoring performance and on-center feel by applying an additional restoration control current if fine steering action at very low speed is decided. CONSTITUTION: A restoration control device of an EPS system comprises a torque sensor(11) detecting torque of a steering wheel; a vehicle speed sensor(12) detecting the vehicle speed; a steering angle sensor(13) detecting the steering angle of the steering wheel; an assist current calculation part(14) calculating an assist current by using the torque detected from the torque sensor; a restoration control current calculation part(15) calculating a restoration control current by using the vehicle speed detected from the vehicle speed sensor; a fine steering decision and calculation part(16) deciding fine steering by using the detected torque, vehicle speed, and steering angle, calculating a fine steering index if fine steering action is decided, and calculating a fine steering compensation current by multiplying the fine steering index by gain; an adder(17) adding the calculated assist current, restoration control current, and fine steering compensation current, to output a desired current; and a motor(18) operating according to the desired current output from the adder.
