The functional element has a holder (22), so that it can be suspended freely movable from a further holder (20), which is fastened to the clean room ceiling. It also has a distance element (12) to fix it to a wall (4) at a distance to the clean room floor (2). Each holder has two hooks (24,25), which lock into each other. The distance element contains a filter (40). A medium channel passes sealed through the function element. The element is formed by a honeycomb part, preferably of plastic, and enclosed between two aluminium panels.
