PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a ceramic roasting plate by using silica sol and the roasting plate thereby are provided to prevent smoke from being emitted when meat is roasted, and to improve heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a ceramic roasting plate comprises the steps of: applying liquid silica sol to the sintered ceramic roasting plate; forming a liquid silica sol layer on the ceramic roasting plate; treating the ceramic roasting plate with heat; and forming a silica sol coating layer on the ceramic roasting plate.
