摘要 PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent damages of battery caused due to the error of state of charge(SOC), while lengthening the useful life of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S201 to S205) of judging whether the battery control variable calculated after initialization of system variable is higher than the preset charge/discharge current reference value; a step(S206) of returning to the initial step if the battery control variable is lower than the reference value, and detecting changes of number of the maximum/minimum module if the battery control variable is lower than the reference value; a step(S207 to S209) of resetting an SOC error timer upon detection of change of number of the maximum/minimum module if changes are detected, and judging whether the SOC is very high/low if changes are not detected; a step(S210,S211) of setting the module maximum/minimum voltage as an actual voltage if the SOC is very high/low, and setting the module average voltage as an actual voltage if the SOC is not very high/low; a step(S212) of calculating a theoretical charge/discharge voltage from the internal resistance of the battery and no-load voltage, and comparing the calculated voltage with an actual voltage; and a step(S215,S216) of resetting the SOC in accordance with the result of comparison.
