OPTICAL DISC DRIVE WITH FUNCTION FOR REMOVING STATIC ELECTRICITY OF OPTICAL DISC

PURPOSE: An optical disc drive having a function for removing static electricity from an optical disc is provided to remove the static electricity remaining to an optical disc by a predetermined earth element when inserting an optical disc into a tray, thereby restraining the sticking of impurities such as dust to the optical disc and guaranteeing the stable and precise optical signal processing. CONSTITUTION: An optical disc drive includes a case(100), a turn table(210) for securing an optical disc(D), and a tray(200) stacked with an optical pickup(220) for accessing the optical disc to exchange optical signals and mounted to the case capable of inserting in or ejecting from the case. A disc stopper(300) contacts an edge of the optical disc when the tray is ejected by the restoring force of a spring(230) mounted to a lower surface of the tray. The disc stopper has a function as an earth element to remove the static electricity from the optical disc when contacting the edge of the optical disc. The stopper is at least partially formed of a metal material to be electrically connected to the case.
