The invention relates to a composite based on spirit of turpentine and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composite is based on turpentine-urethane adducts and it is used as adhesive and elastomer. According to the invention, the composite comprises spirit of turpentine, free of sulphur, maleic anhydride, aliphatic dibasic acid or a mixture of aliphatic dibasic acids, a diol having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms or a mixture of said diols, a polyol chosen from trimethylolpropane, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, trimethylolethane, pentaerythrite, alpha-glucose, beta-glucose or a mixture thereof, and a product of maximum granulation of 5 niu. According to the invention, the process consists in mixing the spirit of turpentine with the maleic anhydride, aliphatic acid, diol and polyol in predetermined amounts, while stirring, for 10 h, at a temperature from 150 to 250 C and a pressure ranging from 2 to 760 mm Hg, lowering the temperature down to 40 ... 80 C, adding 200 ... 800, preferably 150 to 650 parts by weight of an ester of the aliphatic dibasic acid having 2 to 6 carbon atoms with cyclohexane or a mixture thereof with 0.1 ...5, preferably 0.5 ...4.5 moles of a diisocyanate, followed by homogenizing and removing the air for 5 minutes, at a pressure from 15 to 30 mm Hg, there resulting a reaction mass which is polymerized at a temperature from 120 C for 60 minutes.
