The invention relates to an anti-theft device for motor-driven vehicles, in particular motorcycles, comprising an anti-theft box (3), which protects the connector plug (10) that connects the ignition lock cable (7) to the cable (11) that carries the motor electrics against interference, in particular against the connection of a substitute lock. The ignition lock cable (7) is protected by a jacket (8). The jacket (8) prevents the wires of the ignition lock cable (7) from being rapidly exposed and thus prevents the short-circuiting of the ignition lock (6). If the jacket (8) is configured to be electrically conductive, it can be connected to the vehicle battery (14) by means of an earthing conductor (12). Alternatively, the vehicle earth (13) can be connected to an electrically conductive anti-theft box (3), which in turn is in contact with the electrically conductive jacket (8). If the wires of the ignition lock cable (7) are then short-circuited with the help of sharp implements, such as needles, an earth short is caused in the electric circuit of the vehicle, which trips the main fuse (15) and prevents the operation of the vehicle. |
