The anchoring of a slewing pillar crane on a concrete foundation (6) has a foot flange (2) installed at the lower end of the crane's pillar (1), and anchor screws (5) cast into the foundation and upon which are screwed alignment and fastening nuts. A distance piece is installed between the alignment nut and fastening nut beneath the foot flange and is pressure dependently squashable within the range of the required tightening down torque of the fastening nut. The distance piece is geometrically stable during and after the application of the alignment torque on the fastening nut.
