<p>A low-thermal expansion alloy thin sheet wherein the sheet substantially comprises 35 to 37 mass% of Ni, 0.01 to 0.07 mass% or less of C, 0.3 mass% or less of Si, 0.6 mass% or less of Mn, 0.01 mass% or less of P, 0.005 mass% or less of S, 0.01 mass% or less of N, 0.1 mass% or less of Al, and the balance of Fe, the austenite grain size number is 9 or more, the (200)-face integration is 85 mass% or less. The sheet has a sufficiently low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent shock resistance and magnetic characteristics after it is formed into a shadow mask by softening the sheet before the press. Therefore, the sheet is preferable to a shadow mask of a cathode-ray tube.</p> |
