The load transporter as especially a ground vehicle (15) has the load or the vehicle itself connected to a lighter-than-vehicle, the lift force of which corresponds at least partially to the weight of the load. The lighter-than-air vehicle is an aerostat (1) with a net (2), balloon lines (3), junction point (4) and suspension cable (5). The load is connected by cargo handling gear (14) to a load junction point (6) at the end of the suspension cable. The load is fixed to the vehicle by a load securing device (16).
