The stator has an arrangement for setting a correct angular position between a stator (10) and at least one housing part (28). The arrangement has an alignment element (25) for attachment to the stator. The alignment element has an alignment edge that contacts an alignment edge (34) of the at least one housing part for setting the angular alignment. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a housing part with an arrangement for setting a correct angular position between a stator and the housing part (b) and an electrical machine, especially a generator.
