The device (10) is assembled of a handle (11) with a circular lower end (12) provided with a toothed outer surface (13, 16) and a groove (14) for the insertion of a sealing ring (15) and an oval head (20) with an opening (21) with a toothed inner surface (22) and a cube-shaped extension (25) for being joined to a socket. After joining both parts (11, 20) a securing ring (24) is inserted from below. For use the handle(11) can be rotated in a full circle, causing the teeth (16, 22) to mesh and to transmit the forces onto the screw to be tightened or loosened as required.
