FIELD: heavier-than-air flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed flying vehicle includes unit for forming controllable flow of gas to takeoff, horizontal flight and landing. Case of flying vehicle is made in form of hemisphere with horizontal bottom. Located along vertical radius of hemisphere coaxially with it is tube with powerful gas or liquid fuel burner located inside it. Dampers made over outer surface of tube are movable along it projecting above spherical surface of flying vehicle. Flow of hot gas formed during combustion of fuel rises entrapping surrounding air. Artificial vortex is formed on spherical surface of flying vehicle during motion of air and pressure of gases on spherical surface becomes lower atmospheric pressure.
