<p>Filter element has a fine filter placed after a prefiltering device in the flow direction of the medium so constructed that the filter has a support which lets through the medium to be filtered. Specif. the support has coarse perforations, in progressive degrees of coarseness, and is constructed in the form a succession of dishes surrounded by the fine filter element, or which surround the fine filter, pref. in such a manner that they can be exchanged individually, whilst the element with the highest porosity is in the form of a support. The useful life of the fine filter is considerably extended in view of the protection given by the coarse filter elements, while the size of the filter unit can be reduced to a minimum.</p> |
