ULTRASONIC VIBRATOR, MAKING USE OF PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMIC

PURPOSE: An ultrasonic vibrator, making use of piezoelectric ceramic is provided to increase the intensity of vibration, facilitate assembling, and prevent breakage through balanced vibration. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic vibrator, making use of piezoelectric ceramic comprises a metal vibrating body(20) made of metal having modulus of direct elasticity of 60¯80 GPa and modulus of rigidity of 22¯27.5 GPa, and a ceramic piezoelectric body(10). The thickness of the ceramic piezoelectric body is t and the thickness of the metal vibrating body is T. T is more than 1/2t and is less than 4t. The metal vibrating body forms a protruded part(23) to the opposite side of the surface forming a ceramic placing groove(21) to which the ceramic piezoelectric body is installed.
