1,204,556. Ratchet gearing. F. ZANG. 30 Aug., 1968 [8 Sept., 1967], No. 41549/68. Headings F2D and F2Q. Stepped movement is given to a gear 6 by a pinion 7 mounted by way of a ratchet clutch 9 on a pin 8 fast with an arm 10 which is oscillated by a driving crank roller 4 engaging a camshaped extension 11 of the arm 10. When the crank roller 4 pivots the arm 10 against the bias of a spring 12 the ratchet clutch is engaged and the gear 6 driven; on the return stroke of the arm the gear 6 is stationed by a gear 17 which is mounted on a fixed pin 16 by means of a ratchet clutch 18. The stroke of the arm 10 is continuously adjustable by varying the position of a stop 14 limiting the return movement of the arm, additionally the position of the crank roller 4 may be adjusted by inserting it in a series of holes 19 provided in the crank arm, or the roller 4 may be mounted in a slideway in the crank arm.
|
