DESULFURIZER FOR MOLTEN IRON USING ANTHRACITE HAVING IMPROVED DESULFURIZING CAPABILITY

PURPOSE: A desulfurizer for molten iron using anthracite having improved desulfurizing capability is provided which reduces consumption quantity of the desulfurizer by improving desulfurizing efficiency using anthracite containing volatile content, and which is inexpensive so that economical effect is obtained according to use of inexpensive desulfurizer. CONSTITUTION: In a desulfurizer used in the desulfurizing process that is a molten iron pretreatment process using torpedo car or ladle, the desulfurizer for molten iron using anthracite having improved desulfurizing capability comprises 34 to 38 wt.% of limestone, 3 to 5 wt.% of fluorite, 7 to 11 wt.% of anthracite and a balance of inevitable impurities and quicklime, wherein the anthracite is anthracite containing 78 wt.% or more of fixed carbon and 4 wt.% or more of volatile ethane (C2H6), wherein desulfurizer contained in dispenser(1) along with carrier gas(2) is injected into molten iron through two hole nozzle(6) after passing vertical lance(4) through pipe(3) when performing desulfurizing operation of molten iron(7) transported using torpedo car(5) in case of vertical lance operation.
