The connector (10) for the connecting of at least two profiled bars (12,14) along their longitudinal direction has a first (16) and second (20) engagement section which locate in a first and second undercut slot (18,22) in the respective profiled bars. The engagement sections are fixed in relation to each other and with regard to the profiled bars. At least one elastic element interconnects the two engagement sections. The two engagement sections have a T-shaped slot, the short side (28) of which fits in the slots.
