The valve coil (4) has connections (5,6) connected to input terminals (7,8) through a normally open switch (9), diode (10) and capacitor (12) as well as the control unit (11) having a relay coil (14) and contact (13). Closing the switch momentarily energizes the coil (4) and opens the valve. The capacitor (12) is charged and water flows with no energy input and the relay is activated. On opening the switch the relay relaxes and the valve is momentarily energized by the capacitor (12) and closes.
