PURPOSE: A method for confirming a terminal location in a wireless Internet network is provided to enable the wireless Internet network to confirm whether a subscriber's mobile terminal is located in a specific area or out of the area, thereby supplying various location-based services. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber selects an address of a desired area(S201). A service providing server obtains a specific parameter of a specific message corresponding to the selected area from a database or a mobile positioning system(S202). The service providing server transmits obtained system parameter information to a mobile terminal of the subscriber(S203). The mobile terminal receives the specific system parameter, stores the received system parameter, and, in an idle state, continuously searches whether a system parameter equal to the stored system parameter exists(S204).
