The standpipe fastening system has a one-piece pipe clamp (1) fastened to the upper side of the standpipe and with rearwards pointing clamp lugs (2), clamp holes (3) and fastening screws, and a downwards pointing mounting plate (5) turned through 90 degrees and with an elongated hole which is open at the bottom. The pipe clamp with the mounting plate is fitted onto a threaded rod by means of the open elongated hole and fastened between two nuts, thereby securing the mounting plate and pipe clamp.
