The slip rings (11) may be formed with the insulating core (13) in one press operation. Each ring has a separate pressure connection to a separate conductor wire (19). The wires extend outward at their ends to engage the inside surfaces of the rings and extend longitudinally through one of the flat ends of the core. There may be an air gap preferably an insulating ring between individual slip rings.
