An openable storage space for a motor vehicle door (1) comprises a rear section (12) joined to the door, folding side sections (9,10) and a front part (11) which opens to give a wedge-shaped storage pocket having a connected surround which opens giving a stretched horizontal surface (15) and which can be pushed back after use.
