The membrane valve component (1) for controllable fluid flow has two pipe connectors (2) with a generally circular cross section, and a seat (3) to accommodate the sealing element. The transition between the pipe connectors and seat, relevant for the emptying process and in the form of a seat pocket (4), is formed by the generated surface of an extruded component. The section of the seat pocket relevant for the emptying process is formed by the extrusion of a circular arc and thereby has the form of a cylindrical cover segment.
