Perfluoropolyethers obtained by oxidation of perfluorodioxoles of formula (I) <CHEM> wherein Rf= -F, -(O)yCnF2n+1 with y = 0, 1 and n = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and with W = -F, -CnF2n+1, optionally in the presence of tetrafluoroethylene and/or hexafluoropropene, and subsequent reduction of the obtained peroxidic perfluoropolyethers.
