The method involves rotating the brush bridge about its longitudinal central axis with respect to a fixed, that is non-rotating, part (6) of the machine. The brush bridge is reversibly secured in the predetermined operating position by a mechanical engagement connection. The mechanical engagement connection is effected with two positioning elements (12,13). Independent claims are also included for the following: a rotary electrical machine, a positioning device, the use of a positioning device for setting a defined operating position for a brush bridge in a rotary electrical machine and a method of reducing maintenance costs. |
