The method and apparatus for measurement of oto-acoustic emissions impeded by disturbance noises involve the disturbance noises picked up by a reference microphone (11), filtered by an adaptive filter (13), and finally subtracted (15) from the disturbed measurement signal (8). Disturbance noises enter the reference microphone, but no oto-acoustic emissions. Through the subtraction, in the system part (10) a disturbance noise-reducing signal (16) is produced, which can be further processed for the measurement of oto-acoustic emissions. The coefficients of the adaptive filter are continuously derived from an adaptation algorithm (18).
