The method uses an image characterizing information, preferably the pixel width, so as to dimension the place required for storage of the context in the processor internal storage, the internal storage being common to the context and to the queues. The steps include a specification step of the size of memory necessary for storing the element characterizing the image to be processed, a step of calculating the remaining size of the internal memory of the processor, and a step of allocation of this remaining size for storing the input or output data.
