<p>A process is described in which a tube blank (3) for containing liquid or paste product is made in a one-step process. A sheet of material is formed around a mandrel and welded to form a tube hose. Whilst still supported by the mandrel (2) a dispensing assembly (4) is applied to the end of the tube hose (3) and sealed to it to form the tube blank. This is then cut to size and removed from the mandrel. In an optional addition to the process the tube blank may be filled through the mandrel (2) and sealed to form a completed filled tube before being removed from the mandrel.</p> |
