PURPOSE: A brake system for dropping type playing equipment is provided to secure smooth braking operation thereof, and to enable a vehicle thereof to be easily lifted even by using relatively low power. CONSTITUTION: The brake system for dropping type playing equipment comprises a pair of elongated vertical towers(11) spaced from each other, a vehicle(12) fixed to the towers by interposing lifting wires(13), a wedge type rail(14) centrally installed between the towers, and a hydraulic cylinder assembly(15) adapted to generate a braking force. The braking force is obtained by using a horizontal force, which is generated by the variation of a rotating radius of the vehicle moving down along the rail.
