PURPOSE: A method for managing a telephone communication service based on an Internet network is provided to enable many distributed gatekeepers to supply module environments according to operated states of self user terminals, thereby enabling service providers to freely supply a series of telephone communication services to users. CONSTITUTION: A DNS server decides whether version management server IP address request events are generated(S101). If so, the DNS server transmits version management server IP address information to a user terminal(S103). A version management server decides whether firmware version check request events are generated(S104). If so, the version management server transmits firmware version up-upgrade data to the terminal(S106,S107). The DNS server decides whether common gatekeeper IP address request events are generated(S108). If so, the DNS server transmits common gatekeeper IP address information to the terminal(S110). A common gatekeeper decides whether registration request events are generated(S111). If so, the gatekeeper authenticates whether the terminal is right(S113). If so, the gatekeeper transmits distributed gatekeeper information to the terminal(S114). An authenticating server decides whether user authentication and update request events are generated(S115). If so, the server updates information on the terminal(S117), and transmits updated result data to the gatekeeper(S118).
