TABLE REFERENCE PREDISTORTOR

A predistortor for adequately compensating the distortion of a power amplifier even if there is a frequency amplitude difference. The predistortor comprises means (2) where stored is a distortion compensation coefficient corresponding to a table reference value which is the feature of the envelope of a transmission signal before the input into the power amplifier and means (3) for converting the feature to a predetermined value according to the magnitude of the feature. If the feature is, e.g., the amplitude value of the envelope and if the amplitude value is small, the amplitude value is increased to e.g., an upper limit of the linear range of the amplifier.
