The device for the processing of small objects comprises a basket fitted in a centrifuge, for example, and with a perforated wall (1) and perforated bottom (2). The wall tapers down towards the bottom, and a radially outwards protruding mounting flange (4) is fastened to the bottom or tapering wall section (3) by spokes (5). The flange is fastened by the spokes to create a space below the bottom. The flange does not protrude beyond the circumferential alignment of the basket wall, and preferably aligns with it.
