PURPOSE: A brake system is provided to detect a sudden deceleration caused by sudden braking operations of a driver, to minimize braking distance by operating a brake in a two-stage, and to improve riding comfort. CONSTITUTION: A brake system is composed of a nosedown sensing device for sensing nosedown caused by a sudden braking in operating a brake pedal(140); a hydraulic control device for controlling hydraulic pressure supplied to each wheel in a master cylinder(110); and a controller for controlling the hydraulic control device to a nosedown signal input through the nosedown sensing device, releasing a brake operation, moving the center of gravity, which is transferred to front wheels, to rear wheels by restoring force of a front wheel suspension, and then, operating the brake in a double-stage. The hydraulic control device includes a hydraulic control part(400) for controlling the flow of hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder to a wheel cylinder and a hydraulic pressure generating part for supplying constant hydraulic pressure to a wheel cylinder(120) in a second brake operation after brake release caused by nosedown and making the brake work.
