PURPOSE: A refrigeration cycle is provided to improve reliability of a compressor and keep uniform performance by allowing refrigerant to circulate downward in all heat exchangers during heating operation or cooling operation. CONSTITUTION: A refrigeration cycle comprises a basic refrigeration cycle having a compressor(2), a four-way valve(3), an indoor heat exchanger(4), a decompression unit(5), a second decompression unit(6), an outdoor heat exchanger(7) and the four-way valve connected in order by a first tube(8a), a second tube(8b), a third tube(8c), a fourth tube(8d), a fifth tube(8e), and a sixth tube(8f), and the four-way valve and the compressor connected by a suction tub(9); a first bypass tube A(20) connected with the second tube and the third tube; a first bypass tube B(20') connected with the sixth tube and the fifth tube; a second bypass tube A(21) connected with the sixth tube between the first bypass tube A and the indoor heat exchanger, and the fourth tube near the first compression unit; a second bypass tube B(21') connected with the sixth tube between the first bypass tube B and the outdoor heat exchanger, and the fourth tube near the second compression unit; a first solenoid valve(22) installed on the second tube between the first bypass tube A and the second bypass tube A; a second solenoid valve(22') installed on the sixth tube between the first bypass tube B and the second bypass tube B; a third solenoid valve(23) installed on the first bypass tube A; and a fourth solenoid valve(23') installed on the first bypass tube B.
