ADVANCED INSTALLATION METHOD OF PAD FLANGE OF DRAIN CHAMBER OF MAIN ENGINE

PURPOSE: An advanced installation method of a pad flange of a drain chamber of a main engine is provided to perform the advance installation of the pad flange before the installation of the engine to respond to the height change of the main engine using a ring flange. CONSTITUTION: A pad flange(11) is welded on a tank top(2) having a hole of a drain chamber. A main engine is mounted onto an engine seat formed at both sides of the tank top. A choke paste is applied at the gap between the main engine and the engine seat, and the height of the choke pasted is measured. A rubber gasket(14) and a special ring flange(13) are installed on the pad flange to have the height corresponding to the difference of height of the chock paste and the pad flange. A rubber ring(15) is installed on the special ring flange with installing a ring flange(12) on the rubber ring. The rubber gasket, the special ring flange, the rubber ring, and the ring flange are engaged at the pad flange with bolts(16).
