FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying transabdominal ultrasonic scanning of longitudinal output area of stomach cross-section. Ultrasonic scanning of pylorus lumen cross-section is additionally carried out. Pylorus lumen cross-section area is determined both in maximum opening and maximum closure state by measuring cross-section area on a set of points distributed over internal hyperechogenicity layer contour. Functional pylorus activity index is determined from a formula If = 100-(S2x100):S1, where If- is the functional pylorus activity index, S1 is the pylorus lumen cross-section area at the moment of its complete opening, S2 is the closed pylorus lumen cross-section area. Then pharmaceutical test is carried out by applying metoclopramide in intramuscular injection in the amount of 2 ml. 10 min later, repeated ultrasonic scanning is carried out according to the above described algorithm. Functional pylorus activity index being equal to or greater than 51.4 %, pylorospasm diagnosis is set. Functional pylorus activity index being less than 51.4 %, pylorostenosis diagnosis is set. EFFECT: high accuracy of differential diagnosis. |
