The tiller steered load handling trolley has the tiller mounted for rotational round a vertical axis with a position sensor to detect the angle of tiller movement. The tiller shaft is mounted in two spaced bearings with a brake. The brake has a disc (36) positioned between the rollers in a bearing housing (16) and is wedge-connected to the shaft. The disc is engaged by a brake fixed to the housing. |
