A controller (61) for a line pressure control device of a transmission (200) determines whether or not a vehicle speed is above a fixed vehicle speed. The controller (61) set a target line pressure in response to a torque input into said transmission (200) when the vehicle speed is lower than the fixed vehicle speed. When the vehicle speed is higher than the fixed vehicle speed, the target line pressure is increased to a fixed hugh line pressure irrespective of the torque input into the transmission (200). In this way, it is possible to prevent deficiencies in an amount of lubricant when the vehicle is running at a high speed. |
