PURPOSE: A luminous tire coated with luminous paint is provided to emit light where light doesn't exist, easily distinguish at night by coating luminous paint containing luminous colors over a side part of the tire and to satisfy the demand of consumers looking for sporty products. CONSTITUTION: A luminous tire is made by coating luminous paint over some portion of a side part(3) of the tire before a vulcanizing step. The luminous paint contains 10¯50 wt % of binder, 10¯50 wt % of luminous colors, 1¯10 wt % of settling agents, 10¯50 wt % of aromatic solvent, 0.5¯5 wt % of vulcanizing agent, 0.1¯5 wt % of vulcanization accelerator, 1¯10 wt % of antifoam agent, and 1¯10% wt % of surface sizing agent. The width of luminous paint is 1¯3 cm and the thickness is 100¯1000 micron m.
