PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating cutting error of steel plate is provided, in which the steel plate is cut to a certain length by cutting the steel plate in the state that an error generated on the steel plate is compensated when cutting steel plate to lengths according to requirement of customers. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a supporting member which is installed between guiding rollers(11) installed on roller table for transferring steel plate (S), and at both sides of an upper part of which guiding protrusion(41) is projectingly formed; a moving member(50) which is inserted into the supporting member, in which magnetic block(60) is contained, and to the bottom of which rack gear(51) is adhered; a rotation shaft(70) to which driving gear(71) installed at a lower part of the moving member(50) and engaged with the rack gear(51) is connected; and a driving cylinder(80) connected to one end of the rotation shaft(70) by means of rotation arm(80) to rotate the rotation shaft(70), wherein the apparatus further comprises guiding shafts(61) installed at a lower part of the magnetic block(60) and penetratingly inserted into the moving member(50); and a spring(62) inserted onto the guiding shafts(61) so that the magnetic block(60) is elastically installed on the guiding shafts(61), and wherein the apparatus further comprises limit switches installed at one side of stoppers for stopping the steel plate (S) to adjust cutting length of the steel plate (S) so that the limit switches control operation of the driving cylinder(80).
