<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor abnormality detecting device capable of detecting an abnormality of a motor in a normal control state without making a specific current flow in particular for abnormality detection. <P>SOLUTION: A motor control unit controls a motor by means of vector control described in a two-phase magnetic flux coordinate system having a field current direction in a d-axis direction and a direction orthogonal to the d-axis in a q-axis direction.
