PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure information recording and reproducing, even if ambient temperature of a magnetic disk device is low or high. SOLUTION: This device comprises magnetic disk medium facing magnetic heads, a first magnetic disk medium that allows easy information writing or information recording when the ambient temperature of the magnetic disk device is low, and a second magnetic disk medium that allows easy information storage, when the ambient temperature of the magnetic disk device is high. When the ambient temperature is low, recording is performed on the first medium; and when the ambient temperature is high, recording is performed on the surface of the second medium.
