PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily monitor the surface temperatures of all batteries in a battery pack having a plurality of batteries. SOLUTION: A battery overheating detecting device comprises a heat sensor 1 changing its physical property according to the temperature change, disposed across arrangement areas of plural batteries 3a to 3d such that the heat sensor 1 is adjacent to all the batteries 3a to 3d, and an overheating detector 2 for detecting an overheating of the batteries based on a change of the physical property of the heat sensor 1.
