PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a microwave treatment device capable of efficiently conducting the irreproducible disposition in an optical information storage medium in a clean working environment. SOLUTION: This microwave treatment device is equipped with a rectangular microwave transmission line 2 whose both end surfaces 2a, 2b are short-circuited; a microwave oscillator 3 installed on one side of the microwave transmission line 2 and supplying microwaves; and an upper guide 6a and a slit 4a for inserting the optical information storage medium 1 into the microwave transmission line 2 and a slit 4b and a lower guide 6b for introducing the optical information storage medium 1 from the microwave transmission line 2 to the outside, and an inlet side sensor 7a and an outlet side sensor 7b for detecting the movement of the optical information storage medium 1 are installed.
