<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is not restricted needlessly in a place for use, etc., by flexibly changing the combination of an image data feeding part and a printer part in the market. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus obtained by freely combining the printer part 2 and the data feeding part 1 discriminates combination from the kind of the printer part and that of the image data feeding part received from the printer part 2 (S4). On the basis of the discriminated combination, the level of power consumption and the standard adapting level of noise are read from a table (S5). When the levels are different from those of the last time, image data expressing obtained characteristic is generated (S9). When the generated image data is fed from the image data feeding part 1 to the printer part 2 (S11), the printer part 2 forms the image expressing the characteristic according to the fed image data (S25). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
