PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system wherein no VLAN-tag (Virtual LAN-tag) for designating groups (A, B, C) of the VLAN is attached to an Ethernet (R) frame for data transmission for a wireless zone. SOLUTION: Subscriber station ID-VLAN table sections (102, 202) of base stations (10, 20) in this wireless system cross-reference a subscriber station ID and the VLAN-tag, so that having only to manage the subscriber station UD in a wireless zone (between a subscriber station and a base station) can recognize a group of the VLAN, so as to eliminate the need for the VLAN-tag in the wireless zone. The base stations (10, 20) are provided with the VLAN-tag sections (103, 203) so that a destination of a network opposed to this wireless system can manage groups by using the VLAN-tag, and this wireless system provides the VLAN-tag to uplink communication from a terminal to the network and transfers data by deleting the VLAN-tag from the data in downlink communication.
